According to a report, rapper DMX was hospitalised in critical condition Saturday after a drug overdose in his Westchester County home.

On Friday, 50-year-old hip hop star and "Romeo Must Die" performer suffered a heart attack after the overdose and was rushed to White Plains Hospital's intensive care unit around 11 p.m.

The news was first reported by TMZ.  Then Billboard followed up with the rapper's representatives, who confirmed that he is in the hospital.

Although it is unclear what Simmons overdosed on, the MC did check himself into a rehab centre back in October 2019. Thus according Rolling Stone, it happened when he was on tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his platinum debut album It's Dark and Hell Is Hot.
